Clinical Nurse - Accident and Emergency department

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse with demonstrated broad knowledge and clinical expertise in all areas of patient care to join our fast-paced Accident and Emergency department.
As one of the busiest Emergency departments in Western Australia, Our department treats a truly interesting and diverse case mix and has 77 patient bays, which is made up of adult treatment bays, a 15-bed emergency admission area, a 10 bed Mental Health Observation Area, an 11-bed paediatric treatment and observation area and three resuscitation bays.
Working in partnership with the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will assist with unit based education/training activities within the department and have ongoing responsibility for mentoring, role development and enhancing the skills of nursing staff to ensure a high level of clinical care is delivered.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset working within a hospital, with a passion for providing quality patient focused care. Your strong leadership, ability to inspire and motivate, excellent time management and developed clinical problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Successful candidates will also meet the following criteria;
- Relevant registration with the AHPRA
- Minimum of five years’ experience working in an Emergency department with both adult and paediatric emergency expertise or three years’ experience and an Emergency Specialty Post Graduate qualification
- Understanding of scope of practice
- Ability to manage designated portfolio and display sound leadership skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators and other quality projects
Candidates who hold any relevant postgraduate qualification/s will be highly regarded.
Remuneration: On offer is a full time equivalent salary of $101,393.65 - $107,728.19 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (WA Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2 gr1-gr4)

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
