We are searching for a visionary leader to join our dynamic team at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital, supporting the Director of Clinical Services in excellence and innovative patient care.

 

 

The Opportunity

In this role, reporting to the Director of Clinical Services and collaborating with the Senior Management team, you will play a pivotal role in our organisation's success by providing clinical leadership, overseeing bed management, and offering operational support to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting growth, business development, and addressing the business needs identified by the Executive team and Ramsay Health Care
  • Maintaining a relentless focus on clinical excellence across the organization
  • Supervising care delivery and coordinating the activities of a large acute surgical hospital to achieve optimal patient outcomes within resource constraints and compliance requirements
  • Planning and managing hospital and departmental budgets in consultation with other executive team members
  • Assessing workplace culture and implementing actions to support positive culture maintenance
  • Managing Human Resources to forecast future workforce requirements and develop and implement strategies accordingly

 

 

About You

You excel at fostering positive working relations with key stakeholders, developing people and building high-performance teams. In addition, you will also demonstrate:

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management role or equivalent  
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and guide teams effectively
  • Experience in strategic planning, reporting, and policy development
  • Familiarity with quality and risk management frameworks, as well as clinical governance principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle complex operational challenges in a dynamic environment
  • Keen focus on people and processes

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
