About the role

The Anaesthetic Floor Coordinator position is an important role in our Theatre department.  It as a key leadership and management role that is accountable for efficient & effective management of all human & material resources within Anaesthetic department. The role encompasses planning implementing and evaluating practices, processes, and services within the team. The role requires working closely with other perioperative leaders and department managers in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.

The position will be responsible for coordinating the daily staffing & equipment needs of the anaesthetic team in consultation with other floor coordinators and Theatre NUM.

 

 

About you

We are looking for a self-driven, motivated worker to support our current team.  They already consistently demonstrate an ability to be positive and resilient in the workplace.  They prioritise honesty, integrity and ethics in the workplace and have excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills and have a fundamental understanding of Westmead Private policy and procedure. This is an exciting opportunity to support our team and promote career development.

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of four (4) years relevant specialty experience
  • Previous experience of floor coordinating in Operating Theatre will be highly regarded
  • Clinical leadership experience or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications desired
  • A sound understanding and management of KPIs, staffing allocations and problem solving skills are crucial

 

 

Remuneration

$64.56 per hour + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
