About the Role

Joining the team as a Nurse Unit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational management of our new Rehabilitation Unit at North West Private Hospital, opening early 2025.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the successful candidate will supervise, lead, direct and motivate staff to achieve outcomes with the ability to manage financial and human resources.

This key leadership role will see you:

  • Apply advanced nursing practices in planning, implementing and evaluating care in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
  • Effectively manage roster processes and allocate duties to clinical staff
  • Working with and supporting other managers within the wider hospital community in achieving excellence in patient outcomes 
  • Assist in shaping organisational strategy, improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and Hospital strategic objectives.

 

Your Skills and experience

You hold the ability to inspire, motivate and mentor your team. You are a leader with a passion for seeing your team members succeed and grow while bringing a passion for a high level of client care and service.

You will also bring:

  • Relevant qualifications and registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum eight years’ post graduate experience
  • Proven knowledge as a senior nurse or manager
  • Demonstrated experience in the nursing specialty area
  • Management or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded
  • Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and capital resources

 

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $65.84 - $71.24 + superannuation based on relevant experience and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD NUM/MUM level 1 – 4).

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
