About the Role
Join our amazing team and work with the latest machinery in our brand new state of the art CSSD Hub at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital. It will soon be a part of the ‘Hub and Spoke’ model, incorporating Warners Bay Private as the spoke site.
As the CSSD Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the busy daily coordination and allocation of resources within the department. Key roles will be ensuring all activities within the CSSD comply with Australian Standards and liaising with 3rd parties.
This position holds a significant leadership and management role within our Peri Operative Services for the Newcastle Region which will see you work closely with the Executive team to achieve organisational goals. This fast paced and highly rewarding role reports to the Assistant Director of Clinical Services for Peri Operative Services.
Your Skills and Experience
- Experience as an Instrument Technician with current knowledge of all aspects of Sterilising Services and the requirements of AS/NZS 5369 OR Nursing Registration with AHPRA
- Previous experience within a management role is essential
- 5 years minimum experience within a sterilisation team or unit
- Certificate lll in Sterilisation Services
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to act as a positive role model and as a professional at all times
- Demonstrated ability to nurture and develop team members with potential to advance their career
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and capital resources
- Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Remuneration
Base hourly rate of $50.42 Per Hour + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Lake Macquarie Private Hospital is a 187 bed acute Medical and advanced surgical hospital situated on the Pacific Highway at Gateshead, 15 kms south of the Newcastle CBD.
