The Position:

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and motivated Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant at Joondalup Health Campus you are responsible for the delivery of high quality patient care to a diverse range of patients.

We are looking for a Nursing Assistant who thrives in working within a multidisciplinary team and will be committed to upholding and promoting the Ramsay Way core values.

 

Principal Responsibilities to include (but not limited to):

  • Assists with patient care.
  • Provides support in resuscitation situations under the supervision and guidance of the Registered Nurse
  • Assists patients with meals and/or refreshments under the direction of a Registered Nurse
  • Observes agitated or confused and wandering patients as required
  • Assists with the presentation and maintenance of a tidy, safe environment, including the making of beds and presentation of patients’ bed areas
  • Performs cleaning and restocking tasks as directed
  • Promotes and adheres to Occupational Safety and Health guidelines within JHC
  • Maintains effective communication and functions as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Assists with the safe transport, transfer and positioning of patients within boundaries of training and skill level.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrates commitment to uphold and promote the Ramsay Way core values
  • Recent relevant experience in an acute health care setting
  • Successful completion of Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care)
  • Good problem solving and analytical, organisational and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Proven ability to function in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Must be able to accommodate flexible shift patterns including AM, PM and night duty shifts.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
