The Opportunity

Are you ready to lead the way in shaping an exceptional HR experience? As our Human Resources Manager, you'll partner closely with Hospital Executives and stakeholders, integrating seamlessly into our national HR network. This pivotal role is all about driving excellence in generalist HR services, offering expert guidance on industrial and employee relations, and spearheading dynamic organisational development initiatives. You'll also inspire and lead our HR team at Joondalup Health Campus, coaching them to achieve outstanding results and fostering a thriving workplace culture. What You’ll Do

  • Provide expert HR support in areas including workforce planning, performance management, recruitment, and employee wellness.
  • Oversee HR functions like conflict resolution, succession planning, leadership development, and culture engagement.
  • Coordinate industrial relations with HR Business Partners and the National team, handling enterprise bargaining and dispute resolution.
  • Implement Award and Agreement changes in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Support the execution of people strategies aligned with hospital and organisational goals.
  • Mediate and resolve performance issues and conflicts, escalating serious breaches to senior management.
  • Assist managers in meeting workforce targets such as absenteeism, leave liability, and agency use.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and manage change, including restructures and classification reviews.
  • Monitor and report on HR KPIs, reward and recognition programs, and overall employee wellness.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven mentorship and coaching skills to foster personal growth and development in direct reports and managers.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and resolving complex industrial and employment relations issues.
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, legislation, and HR policies and procedures.
  • Experience with Fair Work Commission claims and familiarity with relevant tribunals and courts is preferred.
  • Proven track record of working effectively both in team settings and independently.
  • Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Deep understanding of HR principles and practices, including change management, performance management, and reward & recognition programs.

  • You will have to provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months.
