About the role
New opportunity has become available for a part- time Biomedical Engineer to join the team servicing the Hillcrest Private Hospital – Rockhampton QLD.
The main responsibilities of this position entail the maintenance, testing, repair and documentation of biomedical equipment within the relevant standards and guidelines.
Your Skills and Experience
As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following:
- Degree in biomedical engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as a Biomedical Engineer
- Demonstrated understanding of fault finding techniques, relevant industrial standards and the use and function of biomedical equipment
- Restricted electrical work license or progressing towards one
- Ability to plan and coordinate workload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
- A strong customer focus
Remuneration
On offer is a full-time equivalent salary per the QLD Health Professionals EA ranging from $80,502.24 - $118,164.80 + superannuation based on experience and qualifications.

Hillcrest Rockhampton Private Hospital specialises in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, IVF, general medicine and mental health.
Ramsay Clinic Rockhampton the mental health unit at Hillcrest is a dedicated 20 bed private unit with 2 interview rooms, patient dining and lounge/group areas for inpatients and a Day Clinic for day programs. Ramsay Clinic Rockhampton provides services for patients requiring treatment for mental health disorders including; Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Schizophrenia and Psychotic disorders.
Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
