The Opportunity

The Rehabilitation Unit at John Flynn Hospital comprises of 57 private rooms, a well-equipped gym and an activities area.  Our Unit offers a range of comprehensive in-patient programs including neurological, falls prevention, orthopaedic, reconditioning and amputee specialities. 

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our vibrant team, to help each patient optimise their health and functional independence.

The successful candidate must be available to work across all shifts Monday through Sunday, including:

• AM shift 0630-1430
• PM shift 1400-2200
• Night Shift 2130-0700

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be a positive and effective team player with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be dedicated to providing patient focused care. 

You will also demonstrate:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum two (2) years post graduate experience in an acute hospital setting
• Minimum 1-2 years post graduate experience in a Rehabilitation Unit highly desirable but not essential
• Demonstrates excellent time management and organisational skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $40.47 - $52.19 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances (QLD RN/RM Level 1.2-1.8).

The Hospital

John Flynn Private Hospital is a 354 bed, acute care hospital located at Tugun, which is on the southern end of the Gold Coast, within 5 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport. Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
