The Opportunity

John Flynn Private Hospital has a development opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as the Graduate Facilitator.

Working in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Managers, Graduate Coordinator and Educators, you will be responsible for the provision of clinical education, supervision, and support to Graduate Nurses undertaking the Graduate Pathways Program.

 

About You

You will be a positive and supportive mentor with a passion for sharing your knowledge with others and assisting the development of graduate nurses and midwives.

Your effective communication skills and your ability to provide supervision and support in the orientation of graduate nurses and midwives to clinical areas.

To be successful, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Relevant registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 5 years acute experience
  • Completion of Preceptorship Program
  • Experience in delivering informal/formal education programs and “bedside” teaching
  • Understanding of methods in assisting and facilitating learning
  • Holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (or working towards)

 

Remuneration

An hourly rate $58.82 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Registered Nurse - Level 2 Year 4)

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
